These agreements, while designed to encourage foreign investment and economic growth, often had far-reaching implications on the protection of workers, communities, and fundamental freedoms.<\/p><p data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1218\">\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-29553ed e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"29553ed\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a36fe6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0a36fe6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"969\">The study went beyond examining the direct impacts of IIAs. It also compared Tanzania\u2019s labour and human rights legal frameworks with global and regional standards to assess how well national laws safeguarded the dignity and rights of workers.
